TableSnag copies the table you are looking at into CSV, Excel, JSON or Markdown — including the modern grids that are built out of plain divs, which most extractors cannot see at all.
Why this one exists
Every table extractor works on the easy tables. The popular ones then cap the free version at a few hundred rows, and that cap is the thing their own reviewers complain about most. TableSnag has no row limit at any tier. A five thousand row table exports as five thousand rows.

Merged cells included — a cell spanning three rows comes out as that value in all three, which is what a spreadsheet actually needs.
Grids that aren't tables
React, AG-Grid and the rest build tables out of divs. TableSnag spots the repeated structure and reads it anyway.

Anything marked up as role="table" or
role="grid".
Split tables
Sports standings and financial screeners often render the row labels as a separate table beside the numbers. Those get stitched back together.
It survives Excel
Every cell is checked before it is written, because the usual complaint about exported data is not that it is missing — it is that it arrives mangled.
- Both thousands conventions. 1,234.50 and 1.234,50 are the same number.
- Currency symbols kept with the value, not thrown away.
- Accounting negatives. (1,234.00) is minus 1,234, not text.
- Leading zeros survive. Product code 00417 stays 00417.
- Dates go out as YYYY-MM-DD — and where a date is genuinely ambiguous, you are told rather than guessed at.
- Formula injection neutralised, so opening the file cannot run something a web page put in a cell.
Nothing leaves your browser
There is no server, no account and no analytics. The extension reads the page you are on, only when you click it, and writes a file. Nothing is uploaded because there is nowhere to upload it to.
